Mr. Schendel - Physical Education

The annual "Walk and Roll" is on Wednesday, June 6th.  We are encouraging all staff and students to choose an active way of coming to school that day.  If you do, you'll have a chance to win a new bike from Canadian Tire.  We want to see our parking lot empty and the bike racks full.

The annual Grades 6 to 8 Outdoor Qualifying Track and Field Meet will be on Thursday.  All students are expected to attend.  It's a full day of Physical Education.

Mr. Schendel's Physical Education classes will be spending numerous periods outside starting next week.  In addition to boots, students should have a pair of outdoor running shoes too.

The last intramural for Grade 3 to 8 students will start next week.  Fun, exercise, and healthy snacks during the 10:20 and 2:05 recesses.

The next practice for the badminton team will be on Monday after school.  The team picture will also take place after school.  The big tournament will be on Tuesday.  GO KNIGHTS GO!

The Grade 7's and 8's will have the opportunity to sign-up for the M. C. Knoll qualifying tournaments for the badminton team.  The singles' tournament will be on Monday, March 26th for both the boys and girls.  Boys' and girls' doubles will be on Tuesday, March 27th.  The mixed doubles' tournament will be on Wednesday, March 28th.  M. C. Knoll can send 2 for each category for the big elementary tournament on Thursday, April 19th.

Tanner Prentice from Saskatchewan Racquetball Association has been doing introductory lessons for students in Grades 3 to 8 at our school.  He will be in the Gloria Hayden offering a session from 5:30 to 7:30.  Check it out!  $5.00 to experience and learn about racquetball.

Students in Grades 3 to 8 have the opportunity to sign-up for a new intramural.  Yahoo!

Good luck to our boys' and girls' teams.  They will be participating in the big City Championship tournament on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week.  GO KNIGHTS GO!

The intramurals have resumed for all grades involved.  The Grade 3/4 Intramural is "Rapid Fire".  It's also "Rapid Fire" for the 5's and 6's too.  The Grade 7/8 Intramural is "Bump".  Ask your son or daughter about the details.  Lots of fun, exercise, and a healthy snack.
